Public Drownings

We will be flooding, or “drowning” the meadows on Saturday the 25th of January, and Saturday the 8th of February.

Please arrive at Rose Cottage for ten am, where we will give a brief introduction to the meadows and their history. There will then be a guided tour and demonstration of the water being controlled over the meadows, as it was in the 17th century.

Dogs on leads are welcome, and please wear footwear suitable for the uneven and possibly wet ground.
