What They Do and How to Help
Friends of Harnham Water Meadows Trust provide the ‘public face” of the Trust. The organisation was launched in 1991 after the purchase of the meadows was secured.
There are now some 350 members. The annual subscriptions are £15 for one person and £20 for a couple. For details of how to become a member click here.
Fund raising and social events, including Guided Walks over the meadows, are held throughout the year. See Events.
Members can take part in Working Parties to help with the restoration and maintenance of the meadows. See Events.
Illustrated Power Point Talks
Illustrated power point talks about the Trust and its work can be given within a reasonable distance from Salisbury. A donation is usually negotiated. Talks are normally given by Dr Hadrian Cook, the Trust's Education and Development Officer (07947037358 or hadrian@salisburywatermeadows.org.uk); talks are also given by Miss J Bowen, Chairman of the Friends. Dr Cook can be asked to lecture, on behalf of the Trust, about a wider range of associated subjects than just the Harnham Water Meadows. |
