Sources of Money
|

Harnham Water Meadows Trust is a relatively small Registered Charity. Its affairs are managed by volunteers with a minimum of professional advice. The Trust is grateful to Natural England and Defra for the significant grant aid they receive through the Environmentally Sensitive Scheme(ESA) to help cover the day to day management of the meadows and some of the capital costs associated with management of the water meadows. These grants help us to maintain historic landscape of the meadows, manage parts of the historic water meadow system and enhance the Site of Special Scientific Interest SSSI with its protected species, for example the water voles.

The Trust has no endowment and like most charities has to raise further funds to carry fulfill its mission. |
