We were treated to a wonderfully happy evening when the Community Choir, under their inspirational Director Fiona Clarke, sang for us in St Martin’s Church on Saturday, September 30th.
The Choir – around 80 strong (at a guess) entertained us with African songs, Gospel songs and light music songs.
Everyone in the Choir obviously enjoys their singing immensely, and their enjoyment and delight came across to us all, so that everyone left with a broad smile on their face. The fact that Fiona Clarke not only inspires her Choir to their very high standard, but also produces delightful and quirky jokes, added to our appreciation of what we were hearing.
We are extremely grateful to Fiona and the Choir for giving this concert for us – and thanks to the generosity of all those present, we made some £350 + for our funds.
